Gerardo Arenas

Mr. Arenas is honored to serve as an Assistant Principal at Arlington High School.  He comes with over ten years of experience in education both in the classroom and as an administrator.  Prior to coming to RUSD he began his career as a Correctional Teacher in the Orange County Department of Education ACCESS program where he taught History and English.  He then went on to teach History in the Perris Union High School District.  In 2011, he became a Vice Principal at Martin Luther King Jr., Middle School in the San Bernardino City Unified School District.  Two years ago he was an Assistant Principal at Martin Luther King High School here in Riverside.  Mr. Arenas has been married to his lovely wife Brenda for the past sventeen years!  They have three great children ages 10, 9 and 4.  (His two school aged children attend a RUSD school).

Mr. Arenas was a student at Riverside Community College where he completed courses to transfer to a four-year university.  He went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from U.C. Santa Barbara.  He earned his Master’s in Educational Administration from Chapman University.


I am excited and feel privileged to serve the Arlington High School community.  I am a strong proponent of students getting all that they can out of their high school experience.  There is something for everyone on this campus! Please get involved. I take a great deal of pride in every student being successful: I am here to serve you, please come see me whenever I can be of assistance.

Soy un fuerte proponente de estudiantes recibiendo todo lo que puedan de su expereincia durante su tiempo en la preparatoria. Hay algo para todos en esta escuela! Por favor involucrese. Tomo un gran cantidad de orgullo en el éxito de cada estudiante: estoy aquí para servirles, por favor vengan a verme siempre cuando necesiten asistencia.
